Ajla & Milan

Ajla and Milan chose Koper, on the Slovenian coast, and the town gave them everything: sea air, warm stone and Venetian streets made for wandering in a wedding dress.

The morning was full of small details. The groomsmen each got a wooden box with sunglasses, a bow tie and a little something to raise a glass with, while the dress waited by the open window. The ceremony was held in a garden above the sea, under a wooden arch, with a string trio playing as Ajla walked towards Milan.

After the vows we took them into the old town. On the main square, in front of the Venetian Gothic palace, the bridesmaids appeared on the balcony and the groomsmen went down on one knee below them. Milan’s red bow tie and Ajla’s big tulle gown looked perfect against the old stone.

The night ended the way it should: a first dance in colourful light, friends singing at the top of their voices and a cake lit by sparklers. Ajla and Milan, thank you for bringing us to the sea with you.
