Weddings in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina is our home. Since 2010 we have photographed and filmed weddings here, from the waterfalls of the Una to the halls of Prijedor.

A Bosnian wedding, told as it happens

A wedding here is rarely a quiet affair. The groom’s side arrives singing, with the flag in the car window, the bride leaves her home under the eyes of the whole street, and the night belongs to the kolo and the band. We grew up with these days, so we know when the important moments are coming and where to stand when they do.

Many of the couples we work with live abroad and come home to get married. We help them plan the day from a distance: we suggest locations for the couple session, agree the timeline in advance and take care that both families, here and abroad, get a film and photos they will watch for years.

Where we have worked

  • Bihać and the Una river

Waterfalls, wooden bridges and green water for couple portraits, a few minutes from most venues in town.

  • Cazin and Bosanski Novi

Elegant celebrations on the Una, with lights reflecting on the water late into the night.

  • Bužim

Ceremonies in the traditional Bosnian style, with green valleys and hills all around.

  • Kozarac and Prijedor

Garden ceremonies, vintage cars and full dance floors in the halls around Prijedor.

Our weddings in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Questions couples ask

Can foreigners get married in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

Yes. Only a civil marriage at the municipal registry office is legally recognised in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A religious ceremony can be held as well, but it does not replace the civil one. Ask the registry office of the municipality where you will marry, and your embassy, which documents you need, well before the date.

Do you work across the whole country?

Yes. We are based in Bihać and work in every part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Travel up to 100 km from Bihać is free. For longer distances we add travel costs per kilometre, and they are shown in your offer before you book.

We live abroad. Can we plan everything with you remotely?

Yes, most of our couples from abroad do. We talk on a video call, send the offer and the contract online, and you sign it with a code sent to your email. If you like, we also meet in person when you are home.

Do you photograph the traditions, like the arrival of the svatovi and the kolo?

Yes. We follow the whole day as it happens, from getting ready in two homes to the arrival of the groom’s side, the ceremony and the dancing at night, so no tradition your families keep is missed.
