Some weddings feel written for the big screen, and Klemen and Melisa’s on Lake Bled was one of them: timeless romance, breathtaking scenery and a few unexpected challenges.
If you have never been to Bled, imagine a postcard come to life: the turquoise lake, the tiny island and Bled Castle above it all. For photographers and filmmakers, it is pure heaven.
Thousands of tourists agreed, and they all arrived at the same time. Shooting an intimate couple session among selfie sticks and tour buses takes focus, and a little magic.
Time was the other challenge. With only a few minutes for the couple shoot, every photo became a puzzle: find the angle, wait for the right second, capture it. Challenges like this are what make our work exciting.
The views from Bled Castle are beyond words. If only we could have cleared out a few thousand tourists. Maybe next time we will rent the whole castle.
The real magic came from Klemen and Melisa themselves. Their vows were heartfelt, and they laughed, cried and danced like nobody was watching, except us and a few hundred new friends.
This wedding reminded us that perfection is not about everything going to plan, but about real emotions in real moments. To Klemen and Melisa: thank you for letting us be part of your story. To Bled: we will be back, maybe in the off-season.
